Paul counsels clients on IP and technology policies, programs and transactions. He has represented clients in connection with software development and licensing, intellectual property strategy, strategic alliances, application service provider agreements, sales contracting, software and hardware reseller agreements, implementation services, and marketing agreements. His clients include companies in the software, wireless, healthcare, energy, and ecommerce businesses. He also works with companies that are acquiring and implementing technology in support of their core business activities. As a former litigator, he has represented clients in commercial contract disputes as the lead attorney in mediation, arbitration, and trial and appellate courts.
Paul is a founding member of Peregrine Law Group PLLC. He was previously a partner at Lee & Hayes PLLC, served as in-house counsel at IDX Systems Corporation (a healthcare technology company), and was a member of the technology and IP department at Seattle-based Preston Gates & Ellis (now K&L Gates). Before law school he owned and operated his own outdoor recreation business.
